downtown at the daily flower, we've had a lot going on lately! in the last month, we've had two fabulous open houses, started carrying a new candle collection, and set up shop (or counter) at warehouse row down in the food court!
we've also started collecting vintage mason jars at the shop for you to use as vases! there is something summery and cheerful about a fresh picked bouquet sitting in a mason jar, don't you think? here are a few beautiful photographs we've collected as inspiration... :)

The Sunflowers are in bloom...
This week at THE DAILY FLOWER our featured flower is the sunflower! This is a fun and beautiful flower and that brighten any person's day!
Sunflowers have an interesting history that date back to 2600 BC, when they were first domesticated in Mexico. The Aztecs and Incas used to use these flowers as a symbol of their solar deity and in the 18th century the use of sunflower oil became popular in Europe.
The sunflower is an annual plant that comes in many different varieties and colors (maroon, orange, and yellow.) This flower most commonly grows in heights between 8-12 feet and tend to grow best in fertile, moist, well-drained soil with a lot of mulch, and in full sun.
So come visit us today and bring a sunflower to someone special.
